Wildflower Windhounds is located in the beautiful hills
of Missouri. I came across Silken Windhounds when
searching for a playmate for my Whippet. I was so
smitten to discover this rare breed. I then adopted Apple,

"Springlane Kristull Cupid," from The Hounds of Springlane.
She was a dream of a puppy & I've been hooked ever since.
In the Spring of 07 I adopted Willow, "Kristull Wind Dancer,"
thanks to Chris of Renaissance Borzoi & Silkens. She is
also a dream of a dog. She is so polite & has a stellar
temperament. Nothing phases this girl & she very much
enjoys car rides & adventures of all kinds. The 1st week she
lived with me, she put her mouth, very slowly, on the dvd
remote, while looking at me out of the corner of her eye.
I said uh,uh & she has never touched any humanoid
object since :)

Here at Wildflower health is one of our top priorities.
They are all on an Organic/Natural Raw fed diet, have
limited vaccinations, & are holistically treated when
necessary. Their weekly diet includes; free-range chicken,
grass fed beef & organ meats, tripe, raw organic milk,
cream, and eggs, & a high quality oil.
As far as vaccines, they have not had any since I have
acquired them. Rather I use titers to check antibody levels.
Personally, I believe vaccines are very toxic & that a dog
naturally builds its immunity when on a natural raw diet.

I have done a lot of research & have an extensive
background in alternative health, so if you are interested
you can check out my health section where you will find
links to different sites about specific canine health topics.
I am involved in showing, racing, & lure coursing with
my Silkens. At Silkenfest 06 & 07 Apple won her puppy
class. At Silkenfest 2008 Apple placed 2nd to her sister
Vixen in the American Bred Bitch Class.

At Silkenfest 07, Willow took 1st in Novice Bitch Class.
She has wonderful structure and a rear to die for. She has
a very nice chest along with great substance and power. I
am very excited to own this very special girl. She is my
therapy dog. She lives to be petted and hear about the
events of my days.

We also take our dogs just about everywhere. We
frequent the State Parks & trails in the area. Their favorite
has to be going to Castlewood State Park and running on
the mountain bike trails & chasing each other on the
sandy beaches along the Meramac River.
I absolutely adore my 3 hounds & can't imagine my
life without them. I find Silkens to be the missing link in
my life. They are incredibly sweet & unbelievably beautiful.
They are so graceful & gentle when they play. Apple is my
little baby that is always wiggling her rear & excited to play
& Willow is very soulful & quite a silly girl. And then there
is Donati, my very, very goofy boy that is so incredibly
happy all the time. He is ready to play ball or kiss my guests
in an instance. He is full of life & is a favorite with most of
my guys friends.

In the summer of 2009, we had 2 litter here at
Wildflower Windhounds. You can see their photos on
our LITTERS pg. We kept Ruby, who is Willow's daughter
and Penelope, who is Apple's daughter. They are just
bundles of joy and fun. They are growing up fast
and are turning into very beautiful young ladies. You can
find the most updated photos of these two in the NEWS
section of the site.
